After you’ve had a first look at our consulting philosophy and our range of services, you are surely interested in our billing policies.

Here are some insights into our fees

We offer a large range of services. Since at this stage it is unclear what service do you need and how in depth the consultation will be, it can be difficult to give you a set price in advance.

To give you an approximate idea of how our fees are assembled, here are some insights into  our billing processes.

Our fees are based on the Steuerberatervergütungsordnung (StBVV).
According to the StBVV, the value and cost of a service differentiates. For example: If you hire us to support your income tax return, the fee depends on your level of income. For the annual financial statement, the value is calculated by the average balance sheet total and total revenue.

Subsequently, depending on the difficulty of the consultation, we use a table to add a tenth part to the fee. Using the income tax example, that would be between 1 and 6 (1/10 and 6/10) .

If we don’t face any special difficulties, we’ll use the by the Chamber of Tax Consultants suggested average, for our example that would be 3,5/10.

In order to avoid unjustifiable costs for our clients, we sometimes vary these rules and regulations concerning the fees slightly.

Hereafter you’ll find an explanation for these exceptions.

Tax- and Business Consultancy

According to the StBVV, the hourly billing rate for tax- and business consultancy varies between 60€ and 140€. We calculate the exact amount depending on experience and qualification of the consultant and the complexity of the case.

A tax consultation includes the filing of objections and the answering of writings from the tax office, as well as other written requests.

Before we start working, we’ll send you a proposal that includes an estimate of the time needed for your consultation. The exact time expenditure and consequential the cost for our services, will be calculated after the consultation is completed.

Financial Accounting

For financial accounting, we calculate a monthly fee depending on time expenditure. The first three months after taking over the accounting of your finances, will be billed hourly. We then calculate a consistent rate from those three months, which will be billed from the 4th month forward. The rate may alter if the amount of work for your financial accounting changes drastically.

Wage Accounting

For wage accounting we bill 13€ per employee per month. That fee includes all services around wage accounting such as compilation of salary statements, management of the payroll journal, compilation of the financial accounting data, health- and social insurance settlements and communication with all relevant offices.

The following services are billed separately:

  • Certificates of employment 25€
  • Registration and deregistration of employees 13€
  • Sick pay certificates 13€
  • Inspection of the wage income tax and/or pension insurance is billed hourly

Other service charges

  • Compilation of the electronic financial statement for the tax office 135€
  • Publication/filing of the year end accounts in the electronic commercial register 185€
  • Checking of tax assessment notices 35€

With the previous remarks we try to ensure the highest transparency possible. For the exact costs of each consultancy, an individual discussion and evaluation of the requested service is necessary. We’re looking forward to a personal conversation!
